Beschreibung

The international workshop on "Quantum Magnetism in Low Spatial Dimensions" is devoted to the rapidly developing and highly fascinating field of low-dimensional magnetism. In this workshop we would like to focus on:

Unusual phenomena such as quantum phase transitions, magnetic effects driven by frustration and new quantum states.
Theoretical concepts and computer simulations as for instance Spin-Wave Theory by Bosonization, Density Matrix Renormalization Group, Coupled-Cluster Methods and Quantum Monte Carlo.
Entanglement and quantum information processing.
We would like to thank the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung for generous support.
