Organized bus transfer
We'll organize a bus transfer from Saarbrücken and Homburg Campus to Bad Honnef and back again. Preliminary departure times: Wednesday June 24 around 9 am on the two Campi; back Saturday June 27, after lunch, preliminary arrival at Campi around 5 pm. Details will follow.

Instructions for Talks & Posters
Per funded position within the SFB, the organizers have allotted 25-30 min time slots including 8-10 min discussion time. Depending on the number of participants, the time slots will be adjusted accordingly. Every participant is expected to contribute to the summer camp with either a poster or a talk.

However, it is expected that every SFB-project delivers AT LEAST one talk and one poster.

Talks
Be aware that you talk to an interdisciplinary audience and dedicate time for a nice introduction and motivation of your project: What are you up to clarify? Duration: 25-30 min, incuding 8-10 min discussion time (might be modified depending on number of talks)

Posters
Every poster should have two eyecatchers:

a table-of-content graphic that sketches the content of the poster in an informal way
a bulleted list of 3-5 sentences, (maximum 85 characters, including spaces, per bullet point)
Special events
1) Posterkaraoke
This is a social, interactive, cool, scientific kind of poetry slam. Here's the rules: Every poster author will team up with another author (randomly assigned). Every team will have time to get familiar with each other's poster. The next day, you'll introduce your team mate's poster to the audience, equipped with only a paper and a pen and 2 min time. Use body language, mimics,… whatever, to picture the scientific content!

You'll see: it's great fun and you'll never forget your team mate's and many other projects!

IMPORTANT: Design your poster with the poster karaoke in mind: Very likely, you'll have to explain your poster to somebody of another discipline. With an eye catcher like the table of contents graphics and the research highlight sentences as bulleted list, your team mate will have an easier job. See also "posters" or the project "lolmythesis.com".

2) Lectures about SFB relevant topics
To be announced later

3) Leisure
Planned: Hiking or boat tour (depending on weather conditions)

What to take with you
Hiking boots, (own) papers,
