Abstract:
"The European-Russian DEMOCRITOS project (with supports from NASA, JAXA and Brazil) with the INPPS flagship (International Nuclear Power and Propulsion System) will be introduced. The focus of the talk is on all INPPS subsystems plus science, commercial and communication payload aspects. In addition the concepts of the core, ground, space demonstrators and robotic assembly are sketched. International prospection for INPPS realization – potentially already in the 2020th - related to UN principles to the use of nuclear power sources in outer space will be discussed too."
