Dr. Johannes Otterbach is an Algorithms Researcher at OpenAI with a focus on unsupervised and generative learning techniques. Before joining OpenAI he worked as a Quantum Algorithms Researcher at Rigetti Computing, Data Scientist at LendUp and Software Engineer at Palantir. In his talk he will elaborate on the transition from academic physics to research in artificial intelligence as well as address questions around requirements and expectations of working in Silicon Valley.
