During this talk you have the chance to take a look beyond the university into industry:

After his first PostDoc, he joined SAP SE in 2018 and is currently working as a senior software developer for one of the world's most widespread business application platforms.

This talk will give insights into the working life and career path of physicists in commercial software developement. Topics will include how the skillset typical to physicists can helpful when making the transition to software development and common challenges you are expected to solve in daily work on a technical level. Furthermore, it will discuss how working as part of a team in a large agile organization compares to academia and why you should not be afraid of making the change to a non-physics related profession.
