Description
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the IOP and 175th Anniversary of the DPG we are bringing together a panel of specialists from the UK and Germany to discuss the climate and renewable energy, with specific reference to the commitment both countries have made to have net-zero carbon economies by 2050. The aim of the event is to bring together the physics community to showcase the latest scientific research in this area and inspire discussion about climate change using evidence based research and expertise.
We are pleased to announce the panellists joining us are: Dr Emily Shuckburgh Director of Cambridge Zero, Professor Lorraine Whitmarsh Director of the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST), Professor Robert Schlögl, Founding Director of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and Professor Bernd Rech, Scientific Director at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.
